About Us
Prof Nazrul Islam Rheumatology & Research Foundation (PNRFR) is a non-profit organization committed to providing accessible, affordable, and patient-centered care to people living with rheumatic diseases in Bangladesh.
Our foundation is the first of its kind in the country, dedicated to facilitating research in the field of rheumatology, empowering patients, and engaging in community outreach.
We offer a range of patient empowerment programs, including support groups, educational seminars, and awareness campaigns, and our research activities are focused on developing better treatments and improving outcomes for patients.
Our community outreach efforts are designed to reduce the stigma associated with rheumatic diseases in Bangladesh and promote early diagnosis and treatment.
We are committed to creating a world where people living with these conditions can live full and active lives, with dignity and respect.

Our Impact
Research
Since our inception, our foundation has
conducted 100+ research that has led
to significant breakthroughs in medical
care. For example, our team has
discovered a novel approach to the
treatment of rheumatoid arthritis that
has been shown to improve patient
outcomes and reduce the need for
traditional disease-modifying
anti-rheumatic drugs.
Our research has also helped to identify
key risk factors for medical diseases in
Bangladesh and has contributed to the
development of new screening process.

Empowerment
Our patient empowerment programs

of patients living with rheumatic diseases

Patient awareness program on Low Back Pain. 2 days free medical camp with medicine support to around 400 rural people, donation of medicines to patients. Financial support appx.worth was 50,000/ (Fifty thousand taka). During winter, distribution of 1000 blanket to those who were in need (value worth more than 2,25,000 BDT (Two Lac Twenty Five thousand taka).

PNRFR donated 01 wheel chair to a handicap people. PNRFR extended financial support to the people in need during covid era, each family was provided 1,000 BDTwith the total financial expense of 5,75,000 (Five lac seventy five thousand taka)
